O.K. had to share this one!  I'm at work and the phone rings I answer it and there's a little boy on the line.

He says:   I talk to aunt underdog?

I say:  Hi Bug is that you?

He say: HI aunt s****y you come over and give me an underdog?

I say:  buddy I'm at work.  You mean when I get off of work?

He says:  You can come here and give me underdog grandma says it's o.k.

I say: alright buddy, I'll do that.  I'll see you in a bit. 

He says:  O.K. bye luv u.  click..... (you gotta love that they have the phone away from their ear and they are trying to say goodbye and hang up all at once... tee hee ha ha)

 

O.K. so I gotta go big plans tonight for aunt underdog!!

Well this was a pretty good weekend.  

 

Friday I worked very late, got home and had a nice chat with the hubby.  

Saturday up early, had to wash the scooter as I was doing a poker run on Sun and my bike was very dirty.  So after scrubbing, shinning, waxing...I'm exhausted but done!  I tell ya for a lil bike it sure is a huge pain in the bottom to clean with all the nooks and such.  Hard to reach places.  Uggh  My hands got abused for sure.  tee hee!! 

But man was she shinning so pretty!     After getting that all done hubby asked me if I wanted to go on a date.... hmmm I've not heard those words from his mouth in eons... Yes, I would be pleased to go on a date with you sir.  Could you give me a minute to freshen up?   His response:  Yea sure, but we are not going to the prom or anything so don't get to fancied up!  tee hee ha ha

We went out for dinner and an ice cream.   I was so full I almost burst!  Needless to say we missed the opening ceremonies... the only thing we saw was the athletes and the fire works.  BUMMER!  I can't find it on line anywhere either.  Darn it!  Does anybody know where I can watch a video of it?

Sunday.  Well the day of the ride.  I wake up and it's 53 degrees out side... brrrr!    Clouds are rolling in too... Uh OH!   Oh well I've committed to go and it's for a great cause so I'll just buck up.   Called my friend that was going to ride on my bike with me and she's more than excited to go.   So head over to pick her up and see her hubby that I've mentioned before here he's the one with Leu*ke*m*a.  WOW does he look good!  I was so blown away by this I kept looking and him and saying man you look good.  Really good.. How ya feelin?  Cuz man you look good.  My friend started laughing at me and said o.k. if you tell him he looks good one more time I'm going to think you are hitting on him so enough... tee hee ha ha

Off to the ride we go.   We register and draw our cards and sit and visit while I'm waiting for others I know to show up.   Finally they do and it's off we go with some turn arounds because some boys didn't think it was important to find out where we were going to and just thought they would follow the crowd.  O.K. hmmmmm don't you think you might get separated by traffic lights?  hmmmmm finally we get to our first stop.  Should have only taken us 35 minutes but with all the chaos including one bike loosing parts along the way it took us 1 hour.   Get our cards and some yummy hot coffee and off to the next stop.   Run into lots of people I know from doing poker runs in the past and visit with them for a while get our cards and off to the next stop... on the way there it started to sprinkle.  Not bad but if you have ever been on a motorcycle in the rain... OUCH... those sprinkles feel like needles going into your face ouch!   Get to the next stop it's so freaking hot in there we are all taking layers off.   HOT!   visit with the group and listen to a guy sing.  It's pouring rain outside so we are waiting to leave.   Finally the rain stops and we head out to the parking lot.  Where there was a guy from the bar we were just in he was drying out seats.  How nice!

Off we go!  approx 1/2 mile down the road and down comes the rain... HARD RAIN... Cold blowing Hard rain! BRRRR OUCH!!    We finally get back to the end of the ride.... we are drenched.   Others are there waiting for us.. Lots of others made it back before us and they are completely dry.   They want us to finish up with their business before we do anything... Ummmm do you see me dripping wet and running... yeah I have to p!

Tried like hell to dry off the best we could.   My jeans were soaked.  There were two dry spots... one behind each knee and that was it!   I'm literally walking holding my jeans up because they are so heavy they are trying to fall down! 

Finally call the hubby and beg him to bring my friend and I dry pants and socks.  WOW was that heaven!   Dry clothes at last! 

Grabbed a bite to eat listened to all the chat of how successful the ride was and such, the sun is shinning and we decide it's time to call it a day.   We head out climb on and seriously we pull on the road and yep you guessed it... RAIN!   My friend that was on the back yells to me .... I think it's raining again!  Oh but you probably know that already.   We laughed from that point all the way until we pulled into my garage.   Tee hee ha ha   While we were at a traffic light we were stopped and just laughing... and this lady rolls down her window and said, is it really that much fun riding in the rain... we looked at each other and just busted out laughing..... We finally told her.... you gotta make the best out of it.   And she told us... she wished she could do it just to laugh the way were.  Tee hee ha ha

So we ran into my house changed clothes again and laughed some more.   I took her home, came back and told hubby I'm going to bed.   Layed down and was out within minutes... It was fun!

CRAZY!!  

Girls wee*kend was a blast!  FUN FUN FUN!

 

Friday night was spent waiting for the girls to show up.  Some took some odd ways of getting there (lost, and some didn't follow the detour).   But by 1am they were all there safe and sound.  My cue to go to bed!  We had to get up early on Saturday and I warned the others of this as well. 

 

Saturday AM... It's 6:30am and I'm up making coffee, and cooking sausage.   A few (2) others are getting up as well.  But the other 6 are still fast asleep.  By 7:00am I'm going room to room and singing you are my s*nsh*ne to wake them.    I never understood this, and I've stopped trying to.   If you are going on a river in a can*oe why must you shower, blowdry, curl your hair and put make up on?   Tee hee I don't get it.  But oh well.   As long as they are ready when it's time to go I don't care what they do.  

Trying to get 9 women to eat breakfast pack coolers and load the trucks and be out the door at a certain time is no easy task.   The cabin looked like a tornado went through it by the time we left.  But we left ON TIME!  Wahoo for me!

Some of the girls with us it's their first time going.  You can see the excitement and the nervousness.   What a better way to calm their nerves than BEER!   Yep that's right Beer at 9:00am!

 

They ask so many questions over and over again and don't believe me when I say You will be fine, just relax.   We never tip, we drink, visit and be merry the entire time.    I have arranged for two of our vehicles at the stop we are to get off on so we don't have to ride the awful buses with coolers and such.   By the time I return to the girls at the launch approx 1 hour later they are drunk! It's so funny because I'm so not on their planet and trying to organize them it's funny.   One new girl hops into the canoe sits down and grabs her oar and said I'm ready what now... well first you must get the canoe off land and into the water darling! tee hee ha ha

Finally we are all bungied together all 4 canoes, coolers are in, and we are ready to go.   It's now approx 10:15 and the sun is not completely out yet.  Brrrr!!!!

Not five seconds into our trip my sister says I have to pee!   Tee hee Usual!

So our first of many stops and we are standing in the water laughing joking and such and I look over and one girl is shivering.   She says my goodness this water is colder than it was in the beginning.  Tee hee well that could be because you are standing right in the spring coming out.  Tee heee!!!   Women! 

 

This trip we take is approx 11 miles and should take approx 2.5 hours, I was told when I checked in with the canoe place, plan on it going faster due to the high fast water.  ummm yeah right!!!   

 

We are back on the river and you hear someone yelling from across the river.... Hey aren't you the Water*mel*on girls?   Yep that's us.   You see we marinate it in schnap*ps and share it with others.  YUMMY!   So we threw a couple pieces their way and now we must stop so that our group can have some too.   tee hee

Several hours later and many other stops made we are visiting with another group of women that we see every year on the river.  We are munching on our sandwiches and such and some boys stop and say hey, did you buy that sandwich on the river?  tee hee ha ha ummm no!!!   They say you thought to pack a sandwich... I just laugh and say well little boy, yes we know what we are doing.  They said but what happens when you tip?   tee hee ha ha I just replied while laughing you silly boy this ain't our first rode0.  tee hee ha ha   People are just amazed what we bring down the river with us.... Always a mascot, Beer, Pasta Salads, Beer, Sandwiches, Beer, Crackers & cheese, Beer, Veggies and dip, beer, brownies, beer, and chips.  Oh and beer. 

 

The day turned out beautiful and we all have beautiful tans to prove it.  Some girls got a bit bruised up doing silly things.   But many laughs were had, songs were song and food was eaten.   After 8 hours on the river, we have reached our final destination.  Time to load the trucks and head for home.... THANK GOODNESS FOR DESIGNATED DRIVERS!! 

The entire weekend was a great bonding experience for all and some girls learned the meaning of GIRLS ONLY weekend.  (after talking on her phone no less than a total of 2 hours to her man) I explained... you either are on girls weekend and enjoying it or your not, I get calling home and checking in and such... but come on.   Finally we convinced her to turn it off.   She thanked us! 

It's so hard you get so excited for so long to do this trip and then wham it's over.  Darn it... well we are already making notes and plans for our trip next year.

 

 

I survived court as well.  Still a long road ahead of us. He shows NO remorse whatsoever and I hate him for it.  But what do expect from a monster eh?

I don't think I could do one of them where I have to say I honor so's and so's space because they rock.  Because I feel that way about all of my space friends.  Yes, I'm closer to others but they are all my buddies and I can't name just a few.

O.K. so here it goes

 

1.  I care about others so much.  I am always trying to help and/or fix things.  Almost to a fault.

 

2.  People who don't take care of their animals irritate me to no end!  But people who treat their dogs like kids by dressing them up and such bug me too!

 

3.  I think that girl time is vital in any healthy relationship.   You get a chance to let go of all the petty things that your man does to drive you crazy and find out that you have got it so lucky.  And yes, I think boys should have their time as well.

 

4.  My goal in life is to meet as many new people as possible.  I smile and say hi to everyone.   It's often mistaken for flirting.  geesh MEN!

 

5.  I have no children.  And my family sees that as a "fault" of mine.  I've even heard my name get left out of hows the kids doing.  The family always goes right to those whom have kids, it's odd.

 

6.  Although I have no kids I am a kid magnet.  Like seriously bad.   Even in the stores and I'm a complete stranger little kids will walk up to me and talk to me and stare.  I think it's because I'm surrounded by angels and the babies can see them.

 

7.  I'm always in charge.  I don't know why.   I always get put there even if it's not my responsibility.  Therefore my named is called way too much.  It might be because I'm a control freak.  tee hee ha ha

 

8.  I wear my heart on my sleeve.  If you are in the same room as me you will know my mood instantly just by looking at me.  And even if you don't get it I'll tell you straight up.  Way too blunt!
