June 26 Maybe this will workHello world!
O.K. our friend Duckie says that people are having a hard time getting to her space. I was able to get there some how. I'm going to see if I can add a link here so you can all go by and wish her well. She's still a bit under the weather and she needs us all to send happy thoughts her way.
O.k. hopefully this works!!
Take care and go send her some happy, healing thoughts.

June 25 flowersO.K. so I finally put some photos up of my flowers. Of course it's after a lot of them bloomed! Darn it! I've got too many flowers said mr. happy. Tee hee ha ha .... I told him what? You can never have too many... in fact I'm thinking of making another flower bed. He just sighed rolled his eyes and walked away. Tee hee ha ha !!!
I enjoy my flowers immensely. My mom and Aunt have tried for years to get me to get rid of my tall daisies. ummm no! My flowers, my house, my rules. I've shared those daisies with countless people and they just keep on coming in. I know this fall I'll be giving tons away again to try and thin them down a bit. They'll be full again soon however.
I hope your day is blooming beauty.

June 23 worried about her.O.K. so remember when I asked you to pray for Duckie? Well I've not heard anything from her since. And now her space is gone and her emails are being returned. I'm worried about her. If anybody knows her new info I would love to talk with her again. If you are unable to forward it for certain reasons, please tell her.... that her Soul Sista loves and misses her!

UPDATE: 06/24/08 I FOUND HER! THANKS EVERYONE FOR HELPING US TOUCH BASE WITH EACH OTHER AGAIN. SHE IS A TRUE BLUE FRIEND AND I WAS MORE THAN WORRIED ABOUT HER. WELCOME BACK MY LIL DUCKIE FRIEND!
Catching up.Yes it's been a while. I'm sorry for that.
What's been going on:
Weekend of the 13th: Met some amazing kids ages 14-5. They have had a very very very rough life. Makes you stop and think. They are living with their g*rand*parents now and AMEN for that. They have very little in terms of things but their souls are full. I asked the 12 yr old girl what do you need? She looks me straight in the eye and says we don't need nothing. I said come on you have so little, there must be something you need. She said, We have food in our bellies, a bed to sleep in, a safe place to live and people who love us. We need nothing.
I've thought about that statement every day since. I have shared it with parents of kids that are asking for everything. It makes you stop and think!
Week of the 16th: My friend with Lu*ekemia had surgery to remove his spleen. It was a very risky surgery since he has no clotting ability in his blood. Well thankfully he made it through surgery with flying colors. The thing that's FABULOUS is that he said he doesn't feel sick anymore. Yes he still has the crap in his bonemarrow but he's feeling better every day with is awesome and his "levels" are rising all by themselves AMEN!!!!!!!!
Weekend of the 20th: Well I had these plans with 2 of my little bros to go see a pro wat*er sk*i event and they both were no shows/no calls. Oh my goodness was I crushed. I'm not calling them for a while. I left enough vm over the past week that they could have been man enough to return. Ba*ta*ds! To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement.
Other than that not much going on. Went for a cruise on Friday evening on the hd with hubby. He's such a crab monster I swear. He was so mad at me yesterday. I thought the top of his head was going to fly off. I had to laugh because it was just cuz he was hungry. Lots of crabby-ness before that leading up. I just kept walking away from him, which angered him even more. I was laughing about it this morning and got him to see it from my eyes and "try" to understand where I was coming from.
Oh and the "monster" was found sane.... no shock there. So court again next month.
That's it from my life. Boring I know.

June 13 I don't think I understand! If you are one of those affected by these storms and I offend you. I'm sorry!
O.K. with all the storms we have had in Mi*chigan there are lots of people with out power. Yesterday on the news they were showing several people and their stories of "surviving" without power.
We Americans have no clue how lucky we have it I swear! One lady was on there and had been without power for 3 days. Yes, I can imagine it's hard and hot and whatever but it's not the end of your life. She was beside herself! She said that if it goes on much longer her attorney would be getting involved. HUH?!? Well unless he knows how to climb the power poles no real reason for him to get involved I say. Geesh People! I thought I would throw something at the TV when a man came on and he was angry that he couldn't charge his cell phone!!!!
And then this one really really really aggravated me! There is an apart*ment complex in an area of my county that's not the greatest area. It said their units are 60% senior citizens. They have been without power since Sunday and the manager of the complex is on the news asking for the public's help. They need generators and gas for them donated. WHAT!?! O.K. where's the owner of said complex? I know this complex and I've seen the signs of the Management/owner company. THEY could more than afford to help their renters out with generators. WTF!!
I can understand how frustrating that being without power and such is... however can we just sit back and think about this for a minute.... O.K. think about China where there is nothing left. O.k. How bout all those countries that DON'T EVER have power for residents. And some of the countries where they can't even find food for themselves or their families! If I hear one more person on the news saying it's just really hard living without...air conditioning I think I'm going to scream! WAKE UP AMERICA! Devastation is one thing (and I'm very sad to hear of such great losses)...but to live without "luxuries" is quite another!
I hear everywhere... why hasn't MY power come back on yet? They (work crews) need to work harder, longer hours to get MY power fixed. OMG!!!! I have literally seen the men in the trucks from all over the state and country here in our county working from before sun up to past sun down. I was getting gas the other day and some of those trucks were there with 2 empty spools of wire on each of the big trucks (3). You could see the exhaustion in the faces of those guys. I asked them how long their day was today and they said.....18 hours! I then asked if those spools were emptied today or over several days. They laughed and said that was just from today! WORK HARDER?!?!? Come on you selfish people. Buck up.... teach the kids how to survive without power. Pretend you are camping.... whatever it takes you will survive! Geesh!!! And remember it's called a LUXURY for a reason!!
June 11 this and that and some other stuff too.Garage sale: Well it went from Thurs to Sunday.... and it wasn't a huge success. Our best day was Thursday! Our worst was Sunday! I was very surprised that there wasn't more traffic for the sub sale. Oh well! We did our best and we did raise some money not a huge amount but some. Heck with the price of Gas and the amount they are driving to and from doctors office and the hospital. I'm sure the money will come in handy at the gas station.
Friends: Saturday my sister had some old friends of ours over. We all lived on the same street. Some next door the others across the street. Our friends moved when I was 10 to AZ. I thought life was over! How could they take my best friend from me and move to another world!?
Well they were back in town for a 90th bday party and we decided to get the whole gang together again! What a blast!! Now let me explain... my friend Brian was next door and he's 1.5 years older than I and Shawn (his family moved to AZ) lived across the street and he and I were the same age. It was so flippin cool to be the "3 musketeers" again! Our older siblings and parents and spouses just sat back in awe of our remembering cops and robbers and etc. I would look over to Brian's soon to be wife and she had this huge smile on her face. Same with my hubby. Later I found out why.
It's funny too because my sister and others were saying how much Shawn & Brian have changed looks. I looked at them again and laughed cuz I didn't see it at all! When I looked at them they looked like they did when we were 8 except they had mustaches now! Tee hee ha ha
Later I asked my hubby why all the smiles? He said because you can see it! See what? I asked The love you three have for one another! 27 years may have passed in time but for sure it was only seconds in you 3's hearts!! HOW TRUE!! Although we have all gotten older and some of us married and such, it was like we were back to our bike riding days.
As you can imagine, since I'm not very tall now I wasn't then either! They always towered over me. I never realized it really until they both started giving me stuff over the weekend about it. Tee hee!! As you can imagine having two boys for your best friends was at times a blast and others not so much.
We of course thought we would spend the "rest of our lives" together. So much in fact that I married Brian when I was 7! Tee hee Of course my sister performed the "service" and Brian even gave me a ring. Tee hee! He asked me if I remembered that day and I said of course I do silly! I still have the ring even! He looked surprised. I ran home and got the ring and showed it to him. I thought he would laugh but instead it brought tears. I said come on now... you have to think this is funny! Why so sad? He said, if you only knew what I had to go through and the lies I had to tell my mean mom in order to get this ring you'd understand. And I said, I do know what you went through and I do understand! I hugged him big time. And I asked him while he was hugging me back....do you remember what happened after they pronounced us husband and wife? He pulled back wiped his eyes and said no. I said well buddy they told us we had to kiss! Of course we thought that was disgusting, but you know older siblings make you do crazy things sometimes and so we decided that you would kiss me on the cheek. And you said........ that's good because she (me) has potato breath! You want to talk about taking a tender moment into roars of laughter. He then picked me up and spun me around!! I LOVE THAT KID! Shawn then said... yes but who taught you how to kiss... Oh geesh! The night was great and it was so much fun going down memory lane! We even went to one of the old houses and saw our names still written on the house. How it stayed there all these years I don't know! But it's pretty darn cool if you ask me!
Weather: I don't know if you've heard but man have we had some storms! Friday night I went out with a girlfriend of mine for a beer, just as we were walking out the door WHAM this huge storm hit! Fierce winds, rain and hail. Bad stuff!! Flooding in the roads. Saturday while we were having the get together at my sisters and storm blew in. It's funny because the friends from AZ had no clue it was coming and didn't understand how we could tell. Its all in the wind we told them! tee hee!! Thankfully it didn't happen until later in the night.
It rained so hard that water was coming in my sisters bathroom fan. YIKES! Roads were flooded. TONS of lightning!
Sunday was the worst! HOT all day and sunny. And then at 5:00 it hit! FIERCE winds, howling. Tornado sirens blaring, rain pounding down. You could see and hear the lightning hitting things around our area. It was such a fierce storm you could feel it inside the house. Thankfully my neighborhood was spared. My co-worker's neighborhood, not so much. He lost 8 trees in his yard and it did some damage to his home. And they lost power (still out as of now). Once the storm passed they went out to see the damage to their yard, home and etc. When they saw how lucky they were. Several trees on houses, through houses and just complete devastation. Being the wonderful man that he is he told his wife to go in and grab his phone and he ran to check to be sure ALL of his neighbors were o.k. He's an amazing man! Thankfully no one was injured. Just structures and lots of other damage. They (the government) actually declared his area a disaster zone. So we are all helping him with the cleanup efforts the best we can.
So that's it for now. Well there's other things but not now. I hope your day is fantastic.
June 05 prayers for Duckie PleaseMy good friend (my soul sista/my sister from another time I'm sure of it!) is in need of some prayers. Please ask that she is kept safe and healthy. She's fighting a battle with health right now and she need her buddies!!
Thank you and remember the power is amazing!
You can go to her space and leave some words of encouragement as well. I'd put a link but it doesn't seem to be working!! UGH.... If you can't find it/her then leave the messages here and I will email them to her.

June 04 garage salehello!
Well I've been a busy little girl this week and it's only going to get crazier! I'm doing a garage sale this weekend to help benefit my friends that are dealing with Cancer right now. I've been taking donations from people of things to sell. Some person gave me a TV to sell. Get this.... it doesn't work and it is the old turn dial style. (No remote) A young girl 15 yrs old saw the TV at my house and said is that a real TV? what's that thing? (channel changer). How does the remote change the channels with that thing? oh vey!! I'm old! Tee hee ha ha Needless to say the TV went into the dumpster here at work today. Why would you keep something that doesn't work and then give it someone to try and sell??? Hmmmm I'm confused!
I have to work for 2 days of the 4 day sale. So I've worked it out that others will work the sale for me while I'm at work. Well guess what.... they called last night and this morning saying things have "come up". NICE! I'm not going to stress over this as I've got enuf of that in my life. But man I think it's kinda rude. One friend was supposed to do both Thurs and Fri afternoon (as of Monday). Every day since then she has called and changed it. Now she can't do either as of just 2 seconds ago on the phone as I was typing this. HA! Now she called again and said she could work for an hour or two on Friday. ha ha
Then I have to laugh because a former neighbor of mine brought some items over to donate. But her idea of donation is half of the selling price and she priced her items HIGH (i.e. 5+ yr old tra*poline was marked $100.00). Hmmm I told her I'm giving it ALL to them not 1/2, and said if she needed/wanted the money then she should have her own sale at her home. She took 3 of the four items home with her. HA! Un belieivable.
I also told people that if I don't sell the items then the remainder of things left will be given to charity. They told me to call them after the sale and they would rather have their stuff back. Un believeable.
i'm going to be selling hot dogs pop and water as well. Hopefully we will make lots of moohlah!
Have a great day!

June 03 De*troit R*ed W*ingsWhat happened boys? My heart sank when you let them skate by you with that puck. How many seconds left 45? We saw Lord St*anley getting polished up and ready to see you again and then you let it go. Son of a biscuit! I had the phone in my hand with the number dialed to celebrate with my friends and family. But it wasn't to be I guess. You have no one to blame but yourselves. We saw you think the game was over after the last two minutes of the 3rd period. And I was screaming at the TV! Please boys wake up there's lots of time for stuff to happen and then Wham! They scored. I stayed up till the end of the game. I was exhausted and I can't even imagine how you felt after playing two whole games in one night. You had some spectacular moments and then you had some not so great moments. Please boys keep your head in the game until the fat lady sings! We can overcome this. Stan*ley needs to come home to us.
Sorry to all of you non hock*ey fans. This was a huge upset to us here in hoc*key Town. And I can't even imagine how loud PA was rockin. I hope they can pull this off over there!
