July 31 Annie Oakley??!! Tee hee ha haHA!!! What a fun weekend!!! My hubby and I went north (of course!) to enjoy some R & R. And to get the cabin ready for GIRLS WEEKEND!
We took his new pellet gun with us. This is what I got him for his bday
Now let me tell you this isn't your ordinary daisy BB gun!! Tee hee no sir, this thing is monster powerful. A bit more than I wanted, but oh well. So he gets this pellet gun out on Saturday AM to align the sights and what not.... after round, after round. I'm trying not to say anything, but I notice... He's not hitting the target!! I finally ask him what's the problem. He said he needs good eyes (mine) to help him adjust it all. (WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR MEN TO ASK FOR HELP??) So I think it's lined up and I ask him if he minds if I give it a try... He sets up the "target" (a beer can turned upside down) and comes back with a grin and said, give it a try. I know in my heart of hearts he doesn't think I can do this. THE NERVE..HA!!
So I line it up, I even tell him, I'm aiming for the bar code. He chuckles, alright give it a try. I line it up, breathe deep and squeeze that trigger. He imediatly laughs and said, you missed it completely, it didn't even move. So I pull the gun back up look through the scope and laugh myself and say, " ya might wanna go check that!" I NAILED IT!!! I was so freakin proud!!! So we took turns off and on throughout the day... and ummmm this little polish girl out shot her Marine every round!! HA! How funny is that!!!??? And so the rest of the day/evening he was calling me Annie Oakley. Funny eh?!? He was even bragging tomy Dad and our other neighbor what a good aim I am. That made me feel super proud!
Sunday was our little man's bday. He's 2 now. WHERE does the time go? It seems like just yesterday my sister was calling me saying, don't panic, but my water just broke and I'd rather not be alone. DON"T PANIC!! HA!!
So now our little pride and joy is in his terrible twos! I seriously think that he went through them about 5 months ago!
I love to hear him call my name. OH and I love that his lil brain is a sponge! Mr. repeat! HA! I always have him say that I'm beautiful! HA FUN!!
One day I asked him do you think I'm beautiful? His response is... No Momma is! Of course my sister was listening and started cheering him for such a good answer! Tee hee ha ah But now he says "YETH" with that lisp and man is that cute!
O.k. so we need some prayers coming this way. My friends hubby fell down the stairs early last week. We have no idea how or why he fell, but it's not good! He's been unconcious ever since and they have decided he needs a feed tube and possibly another brain surgery (he's had two already since the accident) and possibly a shunt. So if you could take a minute and say a prayer for Teresa and Brian, I'd really appreciate it!!
That's it for now! I hope you are having a great week! OH and just wait for "some" of the details from Girls weekend..... cuz ya know the rule... what happens on girls weekend stays at girls weekend! Wahoo!!

July 26 Karma?WHAT IS WITH HER!!!!!?????
What is with people? My goodness everyone is a moron a swear!
The other day I was driving back to work from lunch and this woman cuts me off! Not off the road but into on coming traffic and while she is doing this she is looking at me laughing!! GGGGGGRRRRRRRR!!!
I was thankfully not hurt and didn't hurt anyone else! Now get this.... this woman has done this same exact thing to me 3 times this month!!! And I've seen her do it to several others as well. What is up with her?!?!. So finally I had it!!! She could have seriously injured someone! I was shaking!!! So I was able to get back into the flow of traffic, and followed her.
Guess where her big hurry to get to was........The scrap metal yard. Well I pulled in right behind her hit my ON**STAR button and gave the local police her lic plate number on both her crappy van as well as her trailer. They asked if I would like to persue a wreckless driving charge on her and I said YES! I headed back to work and they said they would dispatch an officer to my work to take a report.
The officer comes in and asks me for my side of the story. I tell him and he said, oh well it's not reckless driving, you should allowed her to merge.
You may not know me very well but let me give you a brief description of what that officer saw... STEAM SHOOTING OUT OF MY EARS, MY FACE BLOOD RED, MY LIPS PIERCED! ANGRY!!!
Not a Pretty site I can assure you. Oh and now I'm standing pounding on my desk.
I say to the officer, Excuse me???? O.K. let me ask you this sir, if she had caused me to crash head on into another vehicle and I or the other person were hurt then would it be a wreckless driving case? Or let me give you another one, how bout if I was on my motorcycle and she did that I would be DEAD, then would it be wreckless driving????
His response is, please maa'm calm down, If someone was hurt or killed then she would be facing serious charges.
Me again: O.k. so lets wait until she does harm someone right? That would be the smart thing to do, until my husband has to plan my funeral because it's my fault she thinks this is a funny game?!?!? I'm sorry officer but I think that is a crock of crap and as far as me not letting her merge, well the merge lane obviously ended behind me she doesn't think the laws apply to her. But that's o.k. until she hurts or kills someone right!?!?
He called the station got an address for her and asked me for another descirption of the car and trailer. He said he would go and talk with her. NICE!! OUR FINEST!! GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
Here's the kicker!! I like to think of it as KARMA! I was at the post office which is in a strip mall. As I am walking to the door, what do I see? This woman's van and trailer. They are parked in a FIRE LANE!!! Can you believe it?!?!? Like I said she doesn't think laws apply to her. Hell maybe she can't read and doesn't understand the signs. However she is at least 45 yrs old! So I cautiously walk behind the trailer, just in case she is in the vehicle and decides to run me down. She wasn't in the vehicle, thank goodness. I went in to the post office for approx 10 minutes and came back out. Walked next door to the Sub shop and looked for her. Not seeing her, I asked one of the employees how long that vehicle had been parked there. OMG!!!! They said at least 1/2 hour. IN A FIRE LANE! I am contiplating calling the police to report this, I don't want them to think I'm doing as harassment or stalking her or anything. Just then the manager comes out and states that he has already called the police and they are on thier way as she has been doing shopping in and out of stores since she parked there. THE NERVE OF THAT WOMAN! UGH!! But oh well I walked back to my car thinking I hope she finally gets hers!
July 23 At what age is he a man?!Hello!!
What an amazing weekend I had!! FUN FUN FUN!!!!
Had a family camp-out at my aunt and uncles home. They aren't really blood related but they've been part of our family for years and years and years! They have this camp-out every year and we all bring campers, trailers, and tents and just hang out for the weekend. It's a great time.
We had a great time all of us just hanging out and reconnecting with each other and counting how many kids they all have now... which is tons by the way!! Tee hee ha ha
Even though I have no kids of my own, I am a kid magnet I tell ya! It's funny cuz the littles always want me to play this and that. And the older kids tell me any thing! And want me to wrestle and hang with them. I think it's because they know I'm not a mom and I'm not seen as a threat! It's pretty cool actually.
Well I was watching the kids play with their cousins and siblings and I was in awe as some of these "kids" as they were wise beyond their years. There is one family in particular it's a family of six, Mom, Dad, D age 15, A age 13, C age 3, M age 1. Now this kid D is an amazing MAN I tell you !!! First he always has an eye peeled for his siblings both babies and then his sister. He's always there in a jiffy if any of them need him. The older two kids get along amazing! They talk to each other like buddies, not fighting like sister and brother! When I asked them, do you two older ones fight and bicker like brother and sister?, they look at each other and back to me and say yes, but not like their friends who do it everyday, they say maybe (MAYBE?!?!) once a month, and it's usually something stupid but something we are both passionate about and want the other one to see it from my point of view. I confirmed this with the parents. Awesome.
Later after all of the littles were in bed D and his cousin Z age 14, brought out their guitars and played some music by the bon fire. We are not talking your typical camp fire songs here!! I'm talking Led Zepplin, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, now please remember all this is being done by two ages 15 & 14!! I was more than impressed!
The next day as we were all whipped from the playing and partying from the day before, the two little ones from this family were both trying to get comfy on the Mom's lap and not having a very good go at it. They were fussing and such. Out of no where the wonderful D comes in and offers to take one or both from the mom. The baby went with him and was so content and comforted he was asleep in D's arms within 15 minutes. When the Dad came by to take him from D and put him to bed, D's response: I want to hold him for a bit more, he's so at peace and so comforting to me, I'll lay him down in just a few minutes. As he's hanging around kids his age boys and girls. REMINDER : THIS IS A 15 YEAR OLD BOY!!!!!!!!!
Just before I was getting ready to go, D's grandma came to me and said, I've heard that you've been praising that grandson of mine. I thought you'd like to see this. ..........
She handed me a folder, inside was a letter from D, he had sent it to lots of family and friends. It was a letter requesting money for a school project he was doing. O.K. get this.... the school project was to serve 5 hours of community service. Do it and get an A on the project simple right? Well D decided to take it to another level... like 7 levels up!!! He had visited a "boys home" with his aunt a few weeks ago and was blown away by the obstacles some of these boys have gone up against and are trying to make a good life for themselves. The boys home allows boys to come stay there if they are the ages of 11 - 17. If they are unable to go home or be "placed" elsewhere.
In D's letter it stated that he was listening to some of the stories from their past and tried to place himself in their shoes for a moment and see what he would have done. He stated he couldn't imagine having to live their lives and doesn't think he could have survived any of it.
He decided to collect money to give the boys home for some much needed renovations. As well as for a stepping stone for a boy that is about to turn 18 and will have to move out on his own. Well D took it up another level and with his cousin Z's help they put on a charity concert. They called lots of bands and asked them to play charged and admission of only $3.00 to get in and it was a huge success!! They raised over $6,000.00!!!!!!!
There was also a newspaper clipping in the folder that Grandma had given me. And when asked by a local newspaper reporter if they were happy with the turn out and the money raised, they both looked at one another and said, we are very happy to have helped in some way, it's funny when we started out it was about a grade, and once we met those boys and heard their stories, it was about helping them. What would make us very happy is if we could guarantee that no other kid has to go through what those boys went through and could have awesome parents, and the kind of family that we have. That would make us really happy.
O.k. so through the tears I read the entire contents of the folder again, cuz I wanted to be sure that I didn't miss anything. Then I went looking for D. He's pretty easy to find actually just look for his siblings! Once I found him I said D you are an amazing person, no person on this earth can say that you should be more of anything. I'm proud of you and your accomplishments and the Man you are and I'm excited to see what the future holds for you, because I think it's going to be pretty amazing.
His response: Through laughter, I'm just a regular boy that's trying to be normal. As he hugs me !
Of course I wouldn't let the little man go just yet. I held and hugged and said thanks for being you kiddo!!!
O.K. now I need more kleenex!
So ladies and gentlemen this world is not doomed in the future they aren't all hoodlums and druggies, there are some amazing kids out there that would blow even the greatest adults out of the water with their goodness. So if one should happen to cross your path, please let them know you recognize their goodness and appreciate them. Then go shake their parents hand and tell them thanks as well!

July 18 Our week away from realityStill crazy busy! UGH!! I think it should be calming down a bit in the next week or so! WHEW!! I'm whipped I'll tell ya! My week away was awesome as I said. We had lots of people the first weekend. It was great!! My sister, her lil man, My friend H, her hubby and two awesome kids, and my aunt. We ate like flippin royalty I tell ya! Thanks to me!! Tee hee toot toot! tee hee. Just in that little bitty short weekend we: Went fishing didn't catch anything, (but the coolest phrase I ever heard from an 8 year old boy... Ya know it's called fishing not catching and fishing is what makes it fun, not just the catching!) Taught the girl how to skip rocks, did that for a long time!! Walked from the Beach to this moving sale and I bought the cutest apron! It's cross stitched and very very old. The woman I bought it from said it was from WWII. Cool eh? So of course I had to wear it for the rest of the day. The joke was the entire day...did you see that weirdo walkin down the road wearing an apron?!? Tee hee We had an awesome bonfire and the 8 year old boy worked his dupa off getting wood from everywhere for it! It was cool! He was in his glory!! We let the kids take turns on the lawn mower tractor driving it around. Don't worry they were not mowing... not that they could if they wanted to since my wonderful Hubby mowed earlier in the morning and mowed where I asked him not to... In the wild berry patch, and um sliced a boulder into three pieces. Did I admit to putting the rock there? NO NO NOPE! Are you crazy? Tee hee But I did tell him it was karma cuz I asked him not to mow there and he did. You should have seen that blade!!! Wowzer!! The kids were having a blast riding around and then suddenly the tractor shut off and we heard the girl yell "uh oh dad come here please". She whacked a tree! Tee hee!! I thought it was funny and she was crying so I took her aside and told her not to worry and I would handle the grown ups. She was fine after that! The girl is 11 and she was like super nanny with my sisters lil man I tell ya! It was great!!
Sunday came and they all went home and wow was it quiet. Like super duper quiet! Odd!! Went visiting the neighbors and had a great time! They are a bit different up there! Tee hee !! I'm not being mean or passing judgement just making an observation!!
More friends came on Monday and only stayed one night... thank goodness as those are the friends of my hubby that drive me crazy! And yes they did it again while they were there for that little time. They even seemed to try and get me and the hubby to argue?!?!? Hmmmm??? I don't get that!! OH well they went home and it was once again quiet!
We took the Harley's up there with us and rode lots!! It's so nice riding up there, hardly any traffic and no stop lights! NO city just miles and miles of pavement.
We did take the One armed guy for a ride. He was at our cabin once and mentioned how much he misses riding since he lost his arm. Now let me tell you something... this guy has defied death like 17 times! I'm not kidding you! He has the scars, the missing arm and the funky protruding bones to prove it!!! So as you may or may not know. Men don't ride men on bikes they think it makes them look uncool... WHATEVER! So I put him on the back of my lil scooter! I was a bit nervous at first putting this death magnet on my bike, but it was fine and he LOVED IT!! Once back at the cabin, he couldn't thank us enough. We even rode into town a couple of days later and people asked so were you the ones that took him for a ride? YEP! So obviously he loved it and it was worth every minute of it!
I don't know if I've mentioned this, but this v a *c*ation was 8 days! Wahoo~!! And just for the record at the cabin there are a few (very few) rules. 1. NO TV, 2. NO PHONE, 3. NO CLOCKS!
If you are hungry eat, tired: Sleep !! Why do you need a clock when you are there? It drives people crazy!! I don't get it! If you are able one weekend or on your next vcation, take your watch off, and unplug the clocks. And try to unplug yourself. You will feel better than you ever have when you return to the "real world". It's amazing believe me!!
Oh and I met a guy that makes flutes by hand, out of wood, it was super cool. He's a very nice man and has ...ummm how do I describe it... an ORA about him? I don't know how else to say it but it was cool and odd at the same time.
O.k. well that's all Ive got time for now! Just know it was amazing, wonderful and it was great to take that time to re-connect with my husband and find out who we are and why we love each other so much once again.
It was so wonderful to have a peaceful relaxing time. .
Gotta get this pile of work done so I can go celebrate my hubby's bday with him.... He doesn't like them anymore but I love them so I celebrate for him! Tee hee ha ha I got him a really cool gift this year too.. well I think it's cool... an adult version of a pellet gun. I think he liked it too!
Hope all is well and happy in your worlds!
